Through their Assistant Creative Director, Stephani Beck, we hear about how AIME, using Imagination as a core value, has helped thousands of young people through their mentorship program, and their latest programs for executives, entrepreneurs, teachers and young people, including the Imagi-Nation University. Stephanie also shares her own story of resilience through difficult times, and the power of authenticity in shaping her leadership.

Stephani is a Wonagtha woman from Kalgoorlie Western Australia. As Assistant Creative Director at AIME Mentoring she is someone who has been turning adversities into strengths, as she carves out a new pathway for her life while working towards alleviating educational inequity with young people across the world.

In this episode, you will meet Ben Killoy, who – surprisingly- discovered the power of vulnerability during his time in the military. He speaks with passion and intelligence about the challenges he has faced, and the challenges faced by many leaders who are dads to be their best self as a leader AND as a parent, and how to overcome those challenges to create and leave a legacy for your children.

Ben Killoy Is a Marine Veteran, speaker, a coach with a focus on helping dads step Into their best life. Ben was spending a great deal of time running on the common path in life, transition out of the military, college, get a job, start a family, all towards American Dream. In 2014 he dropped out of the College of Engineering and left with a big question, what next? From this point, he reconnected with a love of leadership, and a desire to become a better husband and dad. He launched his podcast Military Veteran Dad In 2019 and now Is a stay-at-home dad and coach spending quality time with his family while still working hard and helping others. Ben now helps other dads who feel successful at work but feel like a doormat when they walk through the door of their home, step Into their best life.

Episode 19: Creating Opportunities during a Pandemic with Kumar Jha

 


 Kumar has a Marketing background with over 20 years of experience and has worked with various corporates. Kumar now has started a charity called Opportunities Australia which provides skills training to unemployed people in fields like IT, finance, interview preparation, marketing and trade skills like hospitality and construction. He also finds employment for people. He has created a team of 40 people so far.
Kumar is also running for the City of Sydney council elections this September. Serving communities is his passion and he’d happily dedicate his life for it. Kumar volunteers at SES, Marine Rescue, Vinnies and Wayside Chapel to name a few. Kumar has two Masters degrees – Advertising & PR and Information Systems from UNSW. He has also been a mentor there for a few years.

Episode 17: Keys to Leadership in the Planetary Era with Robert Gilman

 

 

Trained as an astrophysicist, Dr. Robert Gilman decided in the mid-70s that “the stars could wait, but the planet couldn’t.” He turned his attention to global sustainability, futures research, and strategies for positive cultural change. His on-the-ground sustainability efforts have included developing the Context Institute, co-founding the Global Ecovillage Network, Citizen Diplomacy with the former USSR, serving as City Councilman in Langley, Washington, and working nationally with the American Institute of Architects on issues regarding sustainability and the built environment. He is currently leading the worldwide Bright Future Network and its Bright Future Now “adventure tour to the future.”
